What is it?
Medicina Mexihka is holistic Aztec medicine. This tradition has ancient roots and yet is still evolving. The tradition of the Mexihkas was kept secret until 1970 when the elders decided it was time to share this knowledge. The medicine had been kept underground for about 500 years so practitioners could avoid persecution by the Spanish invaders and the inquisition.

Cen Jaotl (pronounced Sen Jah-otl)

Cen Jaotl (United Warriors) is a group of healers across the UK who have been apprenticed to Eloxochitl and Cuauhyelitzli, Curanderas in the Medicina Mexihka Tradition. Together, 30 plus healers in the UK, we create a community of Mexihkas to support each other in living the medicine we have been given.

The teachings are grounded in the “Filosofia Nahuatl,” which is about living in harmony with ourselves and our environment. Using these concepts enables us to know our true selves and bring more consciousness to our thinking and our behaviour. This philosophy is applied to all areas of life and provides the basis for the medical concepts of the Mexihkas.

It has similarities to Chinese Medicine, in its use of energy meridians, herbal medicine and non invasive techniques for bring the patient back into balance.

To the Mexihkas, all ailments stem from an imbalance, which can be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
