This Medicine system is based on bringing the patient back into a state of equilibrium. There must be balance in mind, body, emotion and spirit for the person to be healed. Here are some of the most common techniques we use to restore the patient to harmony

Limpia - cleansing to heal the person from physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and soul illnesses using natural objects such as flowers, fruit, etc.

Tlawayo
- diagnostic and therapeutic massage used to invigorate and improve physical health.

Susto
- spirit retrieval ceremony, to bring the individual back into harmony after a fright, shock, or trauma.

Herbal Medicine
- traditional remedies from Central and South America

Other Techniques include:

Temezcal, a Mexihka Sweatlodge Ceremony.

House Clearing, to bless and cleanse a dwelling.

What To Expect When Having a Treatment...

Each session consists of a combination of several techniques. The patient is asked not to wear black for the session; white is recommended as white is the colour of initiation, new beginnings.

The patient will be asked to bring a variety of objects like a bunch of flowers or herbs, fruits, eggs, etc. The session begins with a dialogue between the patient and healer to create a clear picture of what healing needs to occur and what has been done before to help the individual. Then various modes of healing work will take place, (see the techniques section for more details).

The treatment may be followed up by a course of herbs specific to that person. The patient needs to bring extra clothes to keep warm after the session. It is recommended that the patient remain in a very restful space until the following day.
